The Patissier Summer Camp is a camp for young budding pastry chefs to become familiar with the pastry arts...and love it! The Summer Pastry Chef Program is for kids ages 13-15 years old. Classes will be held in the professional kitchens at Tastemakers DC in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC.
This is a 2-day camp.
Day one is Thursday, July 11th 10:30am-2:30pm.
Day two is Saturday, June 13th 11:00am-3:00pm.
Ticket price includes both days and a $50 registration fee.
Introduction to Viennoisserie
This 2-day camp introduces students to the art of Viennoiserie or laminated dough. The first Viennoiserie dough we will learn to put together in this class is puff pastry. Students will learn how to make a classic puff pastry and the less complicated quick puff pastry.
