Summer Pastry Chef Program - Beginner Sourdough Day Two

The Patissier Summer Camp is a camp for young budding pastry chefs to become familiar with the pastry arts...and love it! The Summer Pastry Chef Program is for kids ages 13-15 years old. Classes will be held in the professional kitchens at Tastemakers DC in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC.

This is a 2-day camp.

Day one is Thursday, June 27th 10:30am-2:30pm.

Day two is Saturday, June 29th 11:00am-3:00pm.

Ticket price includes both days and a $50 registration fee.

Beginner Sourdough

Following up on our multi-day artisan bread cheeses, this intensive revolves around practicing the skills you've learned with an eye to ever-increasing proficiency. You'll spend two days refining your shaping, scoring, and dough-handling techniques. Building on prior artisan bread classes, you'll deepen your understanding of flavor development, baker's percentages, flour selection, and use of pre-ferments and sourdoughs.
